As the main consumable for packing bricks, packing tape is no stranger to kiln brick practitioners. However, with the coming of winter, many customers have begun to report that the toughness of the packing tape is not good, and problems such as weak adhesion and breakage always occur. Is this right? The packing tape has gone bad. In fact, the reason for this is not a problem with the material of the packing straps. The weather is suddenly cold in winter, and the toughness of many metal items and plastic products will become brittle due to the weather, and the toughness will also be reduced. Therefore, there are three major things you need to pay attention to when using brick packing tapes in winter.
1. Properly extend the preheating time of the packaging equipment: In winter, the temperature is relatively low. If the preheating time does not reach the dissolving heat, the dissolution will not be firm and the strapping will collapse. This is also the reason why many customers said that the tape collapsed when they started using it, but returned to normal after a while.
2. There is no adhesive added to the packing tape: Viscous agent is an additive for packing tapes. It does not have to be added. It is not required in summer. It is only needed when used in winter. Many customers purchase a large quantity of packing tapes each time, and many of them are not used up in summer. , and use it again in winter, this kind of packing tape without added adhesive will have poor packaging effect and crack.
3. The lubrication of the machine is not in place: In winter, when the temperature is relatively low, a lot of lubricating oil will solidify on the surface of the machine and cannot provide lubrication. This situation will also cause the packaging tape to be stuck or the tape feeding is not in place, affecting the packaging effect. Therefore, the equipment must be lubricated and maintained regularly.
The above are the three major things that need special attention when using packing belts in winter. Sometimes the poor packing effect is not due to the equipment and consumables. The weather is also a major factor. If the above three major reasons are eliminated and the equipment has poor packaging effect, it should be handed over to professional technicians in time.
